Thank you publishing this info! There is nothing else out there on this problem with this printer.

I love the printer – the hardware is very well designed and day-to-day use of it is great.

However, after a recent modem / router upgrade i spent at least 4 hrs trying to get it to connect wirelessly.

I even spent an hour on the phone with samsung customer service – which was less than helpful to say the least.

only with your help in this lone posting was i able to put the pieces together and get it working

the wireless capabilities are quite finicky – and if anything goes wrong the entire stack is lost. (the wireless option in the web service interface is lost)

so:
WPA or WPA2 only
AES only
802.11 g or b only (stay away from n)

– power the machine down properly before cutting power, i lost the config several times because of that.
– reset both the machine settings and the network settings should the wireless stack become corrupted. follow that with a complete hard reboot.
– make sure no open (no security) wireless networks are available – it will try to auto-connect and may re-corrupt its wireless

samsung doesnt seem interested in supporting this printer – no firmware updates – no tech support. its a great machine… too bad.

I cannot connect to my prosody servers at all, using Xabber!

This is no problem with any desktop client i tried, not for example with Yaxim.

I think it may depend on the certificate of the server.

But Xabber just does not allow to watch and accept the cert, which is quite bad :-(

Please fix!

Il y a cinq ans, je n’aurais pas imaginé que cette une tranche de vie attirerait une telle attention – il faut croire que ça a touché une corde sensible. Je me demande quelles sont les raisons qui ont poussé ta hiérarchie à demander la suppression du site : c’était franchement positif pour l’image de l’armée Française. D’ailleurs, j’ai même reçu des compliments d’un colonel Français en poste aux USA pour cette œuvre de rapprochement Franco-Américain. Et pour ceux qui paient de leur corps, ce genre de témoignage a un rôle important : l’entretien de la mémoire aide à se rappeler pourquoi on l’a fait.

Thank you for having made a snapshop of our website 5 years ago. Back in France, we received the order from the higher HQ to delete it. It is true that we live overthere a “fucking” awesome adventure. I’m always happy to read a comment concerning this text. Because you can, and must be proud of your guys. Every year, I share my proudness and my honor to serve alongside those guys from the Army in the American cemetery nearby my town in France for Memory Day.
But as lot of other guys, we came back with invisible injuries, “post traumatics”, so… don’t forgot the former soldiers, support them, help them, forgive them.

there is no switches no routers [in my WLAN]
IS THIS SCRIPT RUNNING IN ENVIRONMENT WITH NO switches and routers

You must be doing something wrong. Write us more details about hosts you use to info@xabber.com, we’ll try to help you out.

As for MUC, we only provide basic support for MUC. Due to… very little actual (but very vocal!) demand of MUC by majority of users. So for now we plan work on more urgent issues. Like tablet interface, otr.

We still plan to support all xmpp xeps one day though.
